On this website you will find information about workshops and impressions of applied improvisation in many different ways.

The world of improvisational art is huge: if you are familiar with programs such as: Whose line is it anyway or de Lama’s you will have a concept of the improvisational arts but…The world of Improvisational arts is so much bigger… and now here for you to explore…!

ImproTherapy’s goal is clear: To make people more conscious about their possibilities through improvisation in theatre, music, dance and while doing so conquering self-consciousness and insecurity by means of simple concepts taken from the world of self-development but…. above all else:

doing something you thought you never could while laughing and having a wonderful time actually learning and doing it!

The workshops vary in length and content. From a morning session Improv theatre games and teambuilding to a fully arranged “Improv package” that can be adjusted any way the customer prefers. Improvisation in a way is another word for being extremely flexible, so that is exactly what we will offer. When booked well in advance a multi-day seminar can also be organized in which apart from Improvisation more aspects can be addressed like “voice training, public speaking, self awareness and self confidence.

If necessary for a specific workshop: props, clothes, musical instruments etc. can be provided by Impro Therapy; though we encourage participants to bring along their own items and instruments. Workshops are given in Dutch or English.

Also you will find information on the ImproTherapy improvisational theatre group that is based in Haarlem. Dates of shows will be put on the website in advance. The theatregroup is english speaking
